Australia has been producing mint year sets ever since decimal currency was introduced in 1966.

Demand for memorabilia was in a boom period leading up to the and during the change of Millennium, coin sets were particularly popular as they were officially produced by the Australian government.

The Millennium year was an exciting time for us all and worth celebrating. The RAM did just that with it’s release the special 50 cent coin featuring our flag.
